If the movie reveals the origins of the universe, then Knull could easily factor into it. In fact, the upcoming Eternals movie is said to span thousands of years of MCU history, and it's already set to feature the Celestials. Although Hela is presumed dead, the character could always come back in the form of flashbacks. While this exact timeline of events isn't likely to be adapted into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it's possible something along those lines did in fact happen - and fans may learn all about it in the upcoming Phase 4 of the MCU. But over the past few years, it's been revealed that the Necrosword was actually much older, and tied to Knull, god of the symbiote. In the comic, it was confirmed Gorr was actually armed with a weapon called All-Black the Necrosword, which means that this was also the weapon the Goddess of Death used in Thor: Ragnarok. It was confirmed that this power had been inspired by Gorr, the God-Butcher, who appeared in Jason Aaron and Esad Ribic's 2012 Marvel NOW! comic series, Thor: God of Thunder. In battle, she demonstrated her ability to generate as many weapons as she could, from projectiles to swords, axes and anything else she could conjure. But when the All-Father passed, Hela was finally free, and she rapidly proved how big of a menace she was. Thor's sister had been kept prisoner for eons, Odin's power the only thing keeping her locked up. In Thor: Ragnarok, the death of Odin led to the return of Hela, the Asgardian Goddess of Death.
